7"x9" Pen and watercolour washesThe second of my sketch compilations to be framed and exhibited at Haddenham galleries this Summer.
This compilation was created on location, I took an Arches block along to the tea room and sketched my way through a delicious cream tea (with coffee, not tea...of course!)
I then grabbed my chair from the car boot and sat myself opposite the entrance to create the monochrome on the right and froze my ass off!!!
Roll on Summer!

I like your new blog look too...very springy indeed. And, Aaak!...that delete above was me-brain not connecting with fingers on keyboard...:)
Your new look is refreshing, bring summer on! Your watercolor is crisp and it look delicious. Many Blessing Deborah, Stop by i am having a give away!!!! Thanks
Oh how I wish I could have a cup of tea and steal one of the sweet treats off that plate!
Oh how lovely. Makes you want to be in a quaint tea room sipping tea with a dear friend. I love your work. Inspirational for me.
What wonderful memories this Peacock Tea Rooms compilation conjures up for me. Love the fact you are finding time to actually sketch bigger for the Haddenham show. Fell off my chair laughing at the 'bottom' comment!!
Like the idea of you using our visit to Melford for another compiled sketch to exhibit, it was such a beautiful little village but we won't say anything about the aborted National Trust House visit!!
nice to see somthing nearly every day now anita it comforts me to see it looks good enough to eat as well love u dad
A very sweet and light drawing. The page has a lovely compositon and it seems to sum up so much of spring. "
And it reminds me of the lines from the Rupert Brooke poem "Oh ! yet, Stands the Church at ten to three... And is there honey still for tea?
From my vantage point I think it was well worth freezing your ass off! lol This is beautiful...the delicate china, the yummy food...I want to be there!
What a delight! So evocative, one can almost smell the Earl Grey and taste the scones.
