Super Heros, Super Cake!

Avengers Assemble was fantastic!!! I love the modern Marvel films!
My Sons client, Liz, made me a carrot cake and sent it home in a really pretty tin. The cake was soooooo good! I worked my way through it, solo, over the course of just two days! When Liz heard I liked the tin she sent it back for me to keep, along with two smaller ones that fit into it, how sweet....Thank you Liz, best carrot cake I've had in ages!

After our long lunch at Hartford Mill I drove Joan into Houghton and, after browsing some quaint shops, we took refreshment outside the 3 Horseshoes pub where we did our final sketching before heading home.

On our third day together, I drove Joan into Huntingdon for lunch at Hartfod Mill; a pub/restaurant situated along the river. A quick change of seats after lunch and another sketch.

On our third day together, I drove Joan into Huntingdon for lunch at Hartfod Mill; a pub/restaurant situated along the river. The weather was glorious again, so we found a seat outside and started sketching while we waited for our order.

I arrived at The Bridge just after two, ordered my latte and scone and was told I would be served the scone at 2:30pm - when they came out of the oven!!!
It was delicious!!!!!!!!!!
I forgot the little camera film container I keep my water in to paint with while sketching on location and the staff were wonderful when I asked for a 'little water' for my paints, they gave me a quaint little china jug full and encouraging words every time they passed me. Deffinately a sketch friendly place to hang out!...I'll be back!
