A very 'garden' themed day with floral coasters, cups and seeds as well as planting out some potatoes all finished off with a perch on my garden steps for a quick ink sketch of my view across the Fen

WET!
The last page in my Leaf Sketchbook made by Russell Parry. I loved the paper in this book, it took everything i threw at it and would have taken so much more. Here I used very wet washes, soaked the paper with a big brush, and still it didn't buckle!
I am, as usual, a little behind with my scanning. Since finishing this book I have started and finished the S&B Zeta I won on the facebook giveaway competition. The paper is very similar to this paper, smooth, tough and almost card like.

Ely, Cambridgeshire UK
My second spread from the 39th Worldwide Sketchcrawl.
After leaving the Samovar Tea House and saying goodbye to Emma-Jane, I drove home...stopping along the way to capture a couple of quick ink sketches to finish my page

Warm and Cosy
My new cup to keep me fuelled with coffee when a kettle is out of reach and my nice, new, fur lined, snug boots.

Octavias Cafe, Wisbech Cambridgeshire UK
My first visit to a lovely, comfy new cafe opened in Wisbech. Has some great views across the river and, in the nicer weather, outside seating above ground level!

Rome 08-05-12 - Page 4
Santa Maria in Trivio
One of the oldest churches in Rome. Another magnificent church full of gems, such as the ceiling by Antonio Gherardi .

We stopped in a cafe just opposite and rested our legs for a bit, topping up with coffee as we did so and I made a couple of quick sketches you see here. The break was more welcome than I first thought and I wasn't entirely happy with my sketch here so we stayed a while as I tried to do Santa Maria in Trivio a little more justice.

One Hour Teacup
Had the urge to get my acrylics out, it's been some time and painted this teacup (from imagination) in the hour I had while my dinner cooked.
Acrylic on 9.5x12 inch boxed canvas.

Studio Fun
This is just a section of recent painting I did during a studio session. Created using decorative paper and watercolour...all painted freehand...entirely with a pipette!
It was a lot of fun!
