A very 'garden' themed day with floral coasters, cups and seeds as well as planting out some potatoes all finished off with a perch on my garden steps for a quick ink sketch of my view across the Fen

The last page in my Leaf Sketchbook made by Russell Parry. I loved the paper in this book, it took everything i threw at it and would have taken so much more. Here I used very wet washes, soaked the paper with a big brush, and still it didn't buckle!
I am, as usual, a little behind with my scanning. Since finishing this book I have started and finished the S&B Zeta I won on the facebook giveaway competition. The paper is very similar to this paper, smooth, tough and almost card like.

My first visit to a lovely, comfy new cafe opened in Wisbech. Has some great views across the river and, in the nicer weather, outside seating above ground level!

Santa Maria in Trivio
One of the oldest churches in Rome. Another magnificent church full of gems, such as the ceiling by Antonio Gherardi .

We stopped in a cafe just opposite and rested our legs for a bit, topping up with coffee as we did so and I made a couple of quick sketches you see here. The break was more welcome than I first thought and I wasn't entirely happy with my sketch here so we stayed a while as I tried to do Santa Maria in Trivio a little more justice.

One Hour Teacup
