Hand Painted

All of these little figures started off plain grey until Harry worked his magic on them with some paints and a tiny brush. They cost me a couple of pounds for a huge bag and now each one looks a million dollars!
He's so clever!

Peterborough Museum

I took Harry along to the museum in Peterborough last week, our 2nd visit to this particular collection of goodies. We had a wonderful day browsing and listening to staff acting out certain historical roles. Harry tried on armour, which just about made his day!

Most of the sketches I made were very quick and produced while standing.
My particular favourite was the Victorian section with the old stove.

Italy

Journal 2010

I have finally made the decision to go to Italy next year, a dream of many years, with my good friend Joannie.
I am so excited!!!
It will only be a short trip (7 days) but I'm going...I've made my mind up.
Life is too short to ignore the dreams we can make come true!

Hospital Gatehouse

16-08-10b
Originally uploaded by Anita Davies

This little gatehouse at the local hospital was recently demolished without any warning at all. It really angered me. I loved this place and used to admire it every time I passed on my way home. I came across my photos of it the other night, while searching for something else.

Journal Grids

Ink and watercolour in daily journal

It's been ages since I sketched in grid format and I've no idea why. I love filling the little boxes and watching the results of a mixture of subjects party together like this on a spread.

The BBC were showing a film entitled 'Frida' the other night and I managed to catch it even though it was on during the early hours of the morning.

Boys!...Scare the life outta ya!
A cricket ball went straight through Jakes helmet this Saturday and embedded itself into the top of his eyebrow.

He pulled it out, wiped off the blood, taped it up and carried on with the game while I did a rather grand impersonation of a headless chicken.

Such a talented family! LOL!

Passport photo machines are now charging £5!!!
They do supply you with 5 photos rather than four now though, although why anyone would require five is beyond me.
