On our second day together, Joan and I took a trip into Burwell to visit By Jove Tearooms. My second visit, Joans first.
We were blessed with such wonderful weather that we spent the whole afternoon here, changing seats frequently!
After our lunch we decided to sit outside for a while and make the most of the sunshine. After our first sketch we ordered afternoon tea and I chose the Empire scone...OMG! It was HUGE!!!...and totally delicious!
The tearoom is an old school house, so I decided to sketch the bell before we left.

Afternoon tea in a quintessential tearoom in Burwell, Cambridge UK with my dear friend Jane. What a find! By Jove was just wonderful and the food delicious. I wish I could have sketched more, there was so much to sketch, but Jane and I had not seen one another for some time and had lots of chatting to do between mouthfulls of cake! Yum!
Will deffinately be returning very soon.
