I'm back!
What an amazing trip I had, so many beautiful sights that I think I am still only beginning to digest it all. It was everything I imagined and so much more.
I am paying for the miles I did on foot, I think I walked, on average, a marathon a day!!! My poor feet and legs have thrown a protest and ceased...but I care not, it was worth every step.
It was an 'artful' balance; sketching, sightseeing and just enjoying the company and ambience...and a little wine...but I did manage a bit of everything and am happy with the balance I achieved. Here I am sketching opposite the Colesseum.
I still have cards and tickets etc... to stick into my sketchbook pages and then, of course, the scanning. I hope to make a start over the weekend so I can begin to share.

...and not enjoying the English weather one little bit.
Managed a few pages in my sketchbook while I was away but as it was a much needed family holiday, my attention was focused on relaxing with them. We had a lovely time, the weather was good and the coffee was GREAT!
Need to unpack and sort out my journal before scanning (lots to stick in) I will share soon as possible but until then I will continue to post the pages I made before my holiday.

A Year Together

Jane has been coming to me for art tuition for a whole year this week and we celebrated our anniversary by dining out for lunch together. (Thanks Jane)

Above is her latest work (in progress) and below are some shots of her with other wonderful works she has achieved during our time together....There are many, many more!

I love our time together. Jane is passionate about her work, generous with her heart and a pure pleasure to be with, I am proud to able to call her my friend aswell as my student.

Happy Anniversary Janie, here's to another wonderful year together!
