Rembrandt and Me

This spread was created while watching Simon Schama talk about Rembrandt for an hour on my 'Power of Art' DVD.
Two of the portraits were sketched in Noodlers red/blk ink and the other two directly in watercolour.
The bottom right is a self portrait, a glimpse caught in the mirror on the table beside me.
I enjoyed working directly in watercolour, using the brush to sketch with was quite liberating

The Power Of Art

I created this journal page while pausing the Rembrandt section of my Power of Art DVD's. It is a fantastic box set of a series that was shown on the BBC some time ago, I enjoyed it so much that I purchased it and watch it often.
