I wouldn't be me if I didn't purchase shoes while on holiday now would I?...These cute little beauties are the final spread in my Santa Susanna journal. I had a fabulous 8 nights. The concertina Seawhite sketchbook worked beautifully, I would deffinately be tempted to take one on holiday again.

We took a boat trip along the coast into Tossa, the sights from the boat were fabulous. It is actually supposed to read 'Malgrat'...got that wrong!

We followed our busy day in Barcelona with a lazy day on Santa Susanna beach.

This is the building I mostly wanted to visit during our day trip into Barcelona, what an amazing piece of architecture it is ...Such vision!
The inside is just as stunning and reminded me a little of narnia! Well worth waiting in the queue for.

We took a day trip into Barcelona on the train and visited the Cathedral and the Sagrada Familia. The train trip was around an hour and the station was a five minute walk from our appartment, so it seemed silly not to really!
A great day, lots of walking, soaking uo the sights and seeing Lady Gaga being interviewed on the street near the Cathedral made for a very memorable experience.

We took the 'Choo-Choo' train up into the 'mountains'. The driver was a very fun, relaxed guy, it was a great little trip. The views were fantastic!

This is Thalassa Apartments, our home for 8 nights, sketched from the beach.
I prepared this spread with decorative papers and stencils before leaving, as I did with many spreads in this journal, and it was fun flipping over the page to find something different to work with.

Well here we go! I finally got around to scanning some of my Spain journal.
I used a Seawhite Concertina A5 for this trip and I am delighted with it. The paper was wonderful to work on and the whole thing looks fantastic opened with my entire trip on display, I managed to fill the whole book one side, which was my aim.
My elastic band 'bra' worked a treat to stop the book unravelling while I worked and the book fitted nicely in my bag/s.
I purchased these little 'Bertie' sandals for the trip and they proved to be very comfy and versatile.
We had a fantastic time, I hope you enjoy his trip through my eyes and sketches half as much as I did.

I have been playing with a few of the spreads in my Seawhite concertina sketchbook I am taking with me to Spain. I did this when I went to Rome and really enjoyed working on some the prepared pages. The decorative papers were my Mums that she purchased and used for card making so it's quite nice to have her with me on holiday in an artistic way aswell as in my heart. The stencils are segments of a few I have collected over time.
