My Little Green Chair
I've no idea why it reminds me of Van Gogh but it does, perhaps it's more to do with the raw emotions it seems to hold between the numerous layers of paint and the countless houses it's belonged to over time more than it's shape?
So pleased I'm not the only one who thinks it's a little Van Gogh!
I'm quite pleased with the paint application too, although not much thinking went into it as I painted it as a last minute 'NEED' before heading for bed, very tired. Perhaps I should paint when tired more often, it certainly seems to loosen me up and loose the control freak? LOL!

Nice coloring, great sketch. Keep up the good work!
Yup, I can see the van gogh thing, too. Love the blue splotch and the highlight.
Love the sketch! Your puddling of colour is old and worn and the untouched bits of paper...brilliant!
I confirm - there is something about this chair (and it's definitely Van Gogh thing...)
love your food sketches though going through your last posts makes me hungry!!!
good luck with a new theme:)
It would fit very well in a provençal home. Provence + color + light = Van Gogh ? I like the sketch, too.
delph
chairs always remind me of van gogh! It certainly doesn't have anything to do with your sense of perspective.
The blue works really well.
Thanks Mark, Karen, Sue, Anetka, Delph and Vicki!
