More DVD stills from the OC series and the last spread of my little A6 Venezia that I started on 30-09-10.
I'll be moving on to an A5 sketchbook by Daler Rowney next, my first time using one of these filled with 90+ pages of 150gsm cartridge paper:

A very unflattering self portrait sketched while lying on the sofa with my sketchbook balanced on my knees, pen in one hand and small bathroom mirror in the other.
Another sketch from the sofa feeling less than healthy...but...this time I changed sofas for a different viewpoint.
More from my sick bed...
I'm running out of things to sketch that I can see from the sofa! The adjacent sofa and Harrys carved pumpkin were a blessing for itchy fingers.

When Scobey covered her face with her towel to snuggle I thought it would be a brief moment I just had to capture in my journal. My sketch was brief but she held this position for over an hour!!!
More of Harrys' toys proved useful subjects for my daily journal on Sunday.
Saturday morning I woke feeling terrible. A tight chest, muscle aches, hot sweats, no energy and the Mother of all coughs!
This is Scobey, one of my eldest Sons' dogs.
She is adorable; regal, beautiful, elegant and full of character...she actually says 'Hello' when she greets you.
On Saturday she moved into the house, so she may be appearing in my sketchbooks quite a bit from now on.
Wisbech has some amazing architecture and I was determined to capture some of it when I passed through there recently.....A little 'in town' practice for my Italy Trip next May.
I had a pair of Wrangler boots for a few years that I lived in, they were so comfy and just slipped on with such ease that I wore them with everything, everyday!
When the lining inside one went, a couple of years ago, I was devastated and it has taken this long to find a pair anywhere near similar.
I still prepfer the old ones, all those sketch dates together add to their comfy nostalgia, I still have them too...I keep them under my seat in the car.
I think these new ones have potential though and I am looking forward to putting them to the test this Winter.
Coffee at Haddenham Galleries, Ely, Cambridgeshire, while delivering my Christmas Show pieces.
Took Harry to the cinema to watch 'Despicable Me' in 3D, my first time using the 3D glasses...Very impressive!
There is a while when the lights dim for the promos before they go out completely for the feature film, during that time I sketched!
I've been wanting to watch 'The Duchess' ever since Joan and I visited Holkham Hall where many of the scenes were filmed and I finally purchased it on DVD.
I made these sketches as the film was playing, from observation and memory, which is why they look nothing like the beautiful Keira Knightley...I was just too engrossed to press pause - Maybe next time!
Another of Harrys toys, his wooden pirate ship. I sketched what I could see from over my small coffee table.
