So, here we are....2017.Doesn't that sound odd?

 

I had a wonderful Christmas with friends and family and absolutely no sketching at all!!!! So not like me.

I was spoiled rotten and, to my delight, unwrapped many pairs of shoes on Christmas day!

 

This is a pair I purchased and sketched before Christmas...aren't they adorable?

 

I hope you all had a warm, wonderful, relaxing holiday and, although a tad late, I wish you all a fantastic new year!

I have owned these shoes for over five years and finally wore them for the first time!

Just love them!

I know they look high, they are, but they are very easy to wear and surprisingly comfy.

Seville Trip 2

I sketched the little grey shoes I purchased for the trip before leaving then added the cheesecake I had for dessert at Don Juan restaurant (our first meal in Seville) and the flowers, which came from a perfume advert on the inflight magazine on our plane.

 

Our first day in Seville was WET!

Canyamel 2014

 

I managed some sketches on our holiday in Spain in 2014 although, I am ashamed to say, I didn't sketch a single thing on our return there last year. I'll be returning this April this year though and am planning to take my sketchbook along!

 

Canyamel is a little slice of heaven!

 

The apartment we stay in belongs to my Brother and his partner, this is the view from the larger balcony.

Because I am a bit of a night owl, I usually see my birthday in before I go to bed. So I took my sketchbook to bed with me, a little earlier than usual, and filled a spread in minimal lighting.

Well it seems that after a very long spell last year of struggling to find inspiration to sketch, I am back on track sketching like a lunatic! I am very happy about that, especially with my Rome trip drawing closer!
However, this means I have so much to upload and am a little behind. Apologies if you subscribe to my blog and get numerous updates in a single day.
