Gifts

I decided to stick with the 'Spring' theme for all my PIF gifts.

Leslie Brasher
I'm sending Leslie this 5x7" 'daily painting' of tulips in ink and watercolour.

I know that Jeanne collects ACEO's so I decided to send her this set of watercolour daffodil cards painted on watercolour paper.

I sent Margaret a TAB full of spring daffodils and tulips which you can read about HERE.
I posted Margaret's last week and will be taking the other two gifts into the post office in the morning, hope you like them!

I also donated my second TAB containing Benwick village scenes to the webmaster of the Lilyholt Road website. Adam kindly created a page to display my artwork and links on the website last year and has worked very hard to make the website an important part of Benwick village life.
He plans to create some kind of competition around my donation to raise funds to benefit the people of Benwick.

TAB 2 - Village Scenes

My second TAB (Tiny Art Book) is full of location sketches of a local village, Benwick. I set out for a drive earlier in the week and spent a while sitting in the truck, sketching and painting.

The book measures just 2.5x3.5 inches and the pages are 8.5x6 centimetres. Four pages, four local watercolour and ink scenes and the two pages at the back display my name and a few paint splashes.

The book fastens with a cream satin ribbon tied into a pretty bow. The covers are painted in French green acrylic decorated with a small hand painted flower design.

I also dug out my ACEO (collectable art cards) box from the studio today and came across this oil painting I made last year entitled 'Purple Iris', which can now be found listed on eBay here.

We experienced an earthquake here last night which registered 5.2 on the Richter Scale. It was very short lived and absolutely terrifying.

Presenting...T.A.B.'s

Oooh, I can't tell you how excited I am about my latest project idea - T.A.B.'s
- AKA: Tiny Art Books.
Informally known as TABBAD's: Tiny Art Books By Anita Davies.

Entirely handmade, hand sketched and hand painted by Moi!...AKA: Me.

This book, my first, is just 2.5 x 3.5 inches and holds an accordion style 4 page layout of HP watercolour paper. A wonderful addition to any ACEO collection (Art Card Editions & Originals), for all you collectors out there!

Each page measures just 85 x 60 millimetres / 8.5 x 6 centimetres.
The cover was painted in acrylic and is decorated with a hand painted design using acrylic paints and Sharpie marker pens.

This particular T.A.B is entitled 'Spring' and was created for Margaret Storer-Roche as my Pay It Forward Project gift to her.

The Daffodils and Tulips were sketched from life using a bunch of flowers I purchased earlier this week.
Two of the back pages are glued to the cover and the remaining, centre two pages display paint splashes and 'Handmade by Anita Davies' and the date it was made.

The book is held closed with a strand of cream satin ribbon, tied into a pretty bow.

I absolutely loved making this book so much, I started my second today.
