The Methodist Hall and The George Pub sit adjacent to one another in the village and form a triangle (of sorts) with the clock tower (which I didn't have time to sketch)

Hmmm, a quaint shed that had a lot of character classing themselves as a tearoom that had ran out of scones at 2:45pm? Afternoon tea generally begins at around 2pm from my experience so this was more than a little disappointing!

Took my student on location in preparation for her upcoming cruise and went through some steps on 'breaking down' a scene . I'm not used to 'mapping' a scene out in pencil myself, as I usually go straight in with ink, but could see this would be beneficial to someone who isn't used to sketching on location with possible onlookers...a kind of confidence breaker. Jane, my student, did exceptionally well, we had a great time beside the river....always so much fun!
