Michelangelo

After Michelangelo ©Anita Davies

Created from my sofa while watching 'The Agony and the Ecstasy' on DVD. A drama based on Irving Stone's bestseller and the painting of the Sistine chapel ceiling.
The film was nominated for 5 academy awards in 1965 and I have just managed to purchase a copy for myself.

Great painting and format. The words you have quoted are very moving and emotional. I think I will have to look for this DVD
Thanks once again for a wonderful posting. I always enjoy your work

I'm back from my four days away and just trying to catch up with my favourite bloggers. Love your Michelangelo - but the words are so sad - how scary to feel you can get like this when you are old when you are a genius!!!!! I shall refuse to do so but then I'm not a genius!!!!.
