Has come to a halt!
The recent recession has resulted in a drop in advertising, which has resulted in a cut in pagination.
It has been such an amazing opportunity!
Local response has been more rewarding than I could ever have imagined and although I am obviously sad to see it go, I am so thrilled to have had the platform.
My artistic adventure continues to surprise and thrill me, ever changing, ever learning and offering the most amazing experiences.
Thank you to the Editor, John Elworthy, for choosing to shine his spotlight my way.

Well I don't know about the local paper readers... but I'll certainly miss your weekly columns. You're such an incredible artist, here's hoping the next opportunity is bigger and better... and just what you want to do.
So, sorry to here! Hopefully, someone in the community will buy an ad just so your column can continue. Hope you keep the columns up- for rereads. Will miss your column.

Ah, too sad! I'm grateful that we on EDM will still have the luxury of seeing your lovely work, but I'm sorry for your readers.
Well FOOEY, Anita, I am so sorry to hear that. But I've been there, more than once. Used to have a regular column in four magazines--two cut way back on pages and columnists, one folded, and one tried to turn itself into a web page. Siiiigh...I still miss them, too! But like you, I still do what I do, and still love it. I'm glad you had the opportunity, too! It was a wonderful peek into the "Life and Times..."

OOOOOh Nooo! A loss for so many...your pages being a spot of sunshine I'm sure many anxiously looked forward to seeing...it seems the arts are always first to fall by the wayside during times of economic struggle...and sadly that's when we need them the most! What better a way to see the world...through the eyes of an artist.
It's wonderful you have had this experience...I know you have cherished it. We all have too!:)

Oh dear. It's really starting to hit home isn't it. How many people will lose jobs or more and how bad will it get? I feel badly for you. It was a nice regular project and you did such a beautiful job.

Hey, don't feel bad for me, there is always a positive...
I had a blast for eight months writing a half page column doing exactly what I love...It would have cost me a fortune for that amount of advertising and instead...I got paid! :)
Oh crud! But, we are all feeling the pain of the international economy. We lived vicariously through you, and still do. I hope you keep inspiring us!

OH NITSA - How on earth did John tell you? At the very least came to Foxes Fate with armsful of flowers and boxes of chocs to say thanks for 8 incredible months of artistic columns. The paper wont be the same without you. He better not let you down over the local home project exhibition. I reckon your column sold papers, so where they coming from??? Well, you had to find time for the next instalment in your life.
It´s been so inspiring to read your column, and I am sorry to hear that it came to an end. You did a glorious job writing and drawing it, and I´m grateful that you posted your columns here so we could all enjoy them!
I will miss your column too but I'm a big believer in the saying, 'when one door closes, another one opens', so I'm sure there will be many more opportunities ahead for you. As you said, eight months was indeed a great run and I'm sure your column was enjoyed by many readers. Btw, I LOVE your sketches, particularly the mug with the blues, greens and purple...I'm such a sucker for that colour combo.
