A Distinctive Pass

On 31st July my eldest Son Jake took and passed his driving theory examination. Harry and I spent our time waiting for him outside the cinema, perched on the steps opposite the test centre where I managed a a sketch of the centre and a few shop signs. Watching him emerge with a smile was such a relief.

Jake has also completed the first year of a two year National Diploma in Sports Studies which he absolutely loves! Two days ago we received notification of his first year grades, covering three units made of eight bodies of work...He scored a distinction in all eight!!!

It is wonderful to see him enjoy his career choice as much as he does, while the grades are FANTASTIC and make me very proud of his obvious hard work, knowing he is truly content means so much more to a Mother.

Congratulations to Jake....and to Mum, too. You're raising two fine sons there it seems, and you have every reason to be proud.

As always I love your paintings and stories/accounts that accompany them. I remember when my two received their driver's permits/licenses....somewhat scary, but also a godsend...that I didn't always have to transport them around. Now my two are 33 and 34 and have been driving for years! Time flies!

What memories, I have four sons, one of them passed his drivers test got the license, that evening took the car on his own for the first time and took down a telephone pole, I'm thanful no one was hurt and for insurance.
