Vert

Another quick self portrait filled the first of my journal pages this morning. Sketched from life using HB pencil, acrylic and watercolour. The hideous hairstyle was not planned but rather flung up out of the way into a stray band....Just felt I had to explain that!
Last night I joined the 'Portrait A Day' thread in the Art From Life forum over at WetCanvas. I'm not entirely sure I'll be creating a self portrait EVERY day but I figured it would provide good incentive and motivation, besides, it is already proving to be a most interesting project to view.

A few more of the Christmas left overs gave me the excuse to complete this weeks EDM challenge: to sketch something in a plastic wrapper. I threw the lime in to complete my green day and once I'd cut it open I had no idea what to do with it?

I totally agree. Lovely work as always, Anita!

Fresh lime juice is a great addition to stir-frys and Thai curries.

Wow that's quite a challenge to make a portrait every day! You've done a good job of the sweet, and as for the cut lime, you could squeeze it into a stir-fry! (Coriander's a good combination!)

I'm impressed by your determination to do so much painting. This newest post is really quite good, I think. I like how you put unrelated items together. It's like poetry, really. It forces us to make unexpected connections.

I'm enjoying your portraits here and in the WetCanvas portrait thread. The candy in the plastic wrapper is good! I like the way you handled the wrapper.
