Posemaniacs Pose of the Day - Ballpoint pen - 10 minute pageAll revved up, bag packed the night before, I prepared to take my youngest into school before heading off for the favourite part of my week - Life class!
Then I received a text cancelling class due to the organiser being poorly.
GUTTED!
By way of consolation, I visited the Posemaniacs website and took advantage of the 'Today's Pose', creating three quick sketches that totalled ten minutes in my Seawhite sketchbook.
I then took my youngest off to school and treated myself to a full English breakfast at
Tesco Cafe where I managed to grab another figure sketch before heading home to spend some time in the studio working on that illusive canvas piece I mentioned in my last post.
Not so bad after all then!

Full English Breakfast AND drawing in the same day. You lucky soul!
I'm so glad you didn't let your disappointment in the class being cancelled stop you at all. Nice job!
I hadn't heard of Posemaniacs but it looks great. I really like your sketch, especially how the 3 figures relate together. The background hatching is very effective too: the women look like they are marble!
Lovely fluid sketches, Anita. You are such a positive soul. Brava for turning your disappointment around. By the way, I have discovered Posemaniacs through you and love it because I have no access to a life class.
Nothing ever stops your drive my friend. Hope the canvas is coming on ok. I must pop into Posemaniacs - but currently preparing work and labels for the Holt show in December.
You amaze me, your drive and motivation. It's very inspiring for me who struggles with motivation every day.
