Part of my sketch motivation plan is to NOT sit idle and moan I have nothing to draw, so when this happened the other afternoon I grabbed my sketchbook and got in my car and drove a few metres parking in my yard. I decided I would simply turn the car around and sketch 3 different views (it was very cold!)
This is the view across the yard to the road side.
I sketched a few plan lines with a Lamy Safari fountain pen filled with Noodlers bullet proof black ink and then added watercolour.
25 mins. Wonky horizon due to steering wheel of my car! LOL!

Just catching up after more than a week away at a workshop. I love your sketches...and yes we can find a new sketch every time we turn around...even in our driveway. How great that you are planning a trip to Rome. I am planning one to Ireland and am finally getting exited...oh the sketching and painting possibilities.
