Just spent a few wonderful days catching up with my art friend, Joannie, in Norfolk. This is a sketch from one of her photographs that we viewed through her new ipad. We gave ourselves 30 mins to complete and I started with a very loose sketch using a light grey Stabilo point 88 pen, which dissolved completely when I added the watercolour.
Our aim: To simplify a 'busy' scene.

Anita,

I worked on a logo many years back, back when we still used "press type" to do logos. I stayed up all night to complete the project. I had to buy an off brand spray sealer, normally I used Krylon Workable Fixative. I finished all the art, sprayed it lightly with the off brand sealer and all the press on letters dissolved, just melted away. I was sick.

My lesson was to test everything
before it goes on any original.
