The Fens

I painted this at Joannie's on yupo using acrylic, painting from memory. It's a mixture of scenes from my Drove in the Fens, all rolled into one.
I used a knife, the end of a paintbrush and my fingers to paint with, aswell as various lids to produce the circular shapes, cutting back into the paint to reveal the yupo surface again.

It was great fun.

Glad to see you are managing to blog regularly on Jake's laptop. Your Fen piece looks amazing on screen - and in the flesh of course. Folks, must tell you this was Anita's first piece for ages during her stay when we played and played with acrylics and inks. I felt it unlocked her amazing creative talent hidden away for too long.

First piece for ages? Anita! This is beautiful. I've always wondered what the Fens looked like and now I can see it thru your eyes. You have an amazing talent. I won't say anymore, you've heard it from me before. :) Keep on creating! I love this.
