A couple of recent journal spreads in my A6 Venezia sketchbook.
The top spread shows my 'special' cup designed by Nel Whatmore and gifted to me by my boys one Mother's Day. The bottom spread contains some
very quick, blind contour sketches from the TV, most of which failed miserably except the female bottom right near the date, I was quite pleased with her.

At least yours look like people, I've tried sketching on the tv... but they move around too much... just like real people... Great sketches Nita... hope the speech was well received.
Lovely pages in your sketchbook! The gestural quality to your drawings is so nice. Hummm, now you've got me thinking about dragging out my sketchbook.....
I love the cup spread, yellow is one of my favorite colors. It looks like spring.
Your blind contours are fun. Thanks for posting them. I always enjoy coming to your blog.
Your sketchbook is wonderful to look through. The colors blend well with the subject that you are illustrating.
Lovely pages, as always. I really like your one of a kind cup that your boys gave you. It is beautiful.

I give you a lot of credit for sketching from the tv. That's a bit too quick for me! I love the top journal page...nicely designed and colorful!
Love the tea cups - again :-)
Love your cup spread! Love your other spread too! Very cool how you put in the sketch of your hand holding a paper! Marva
