Morning Coffee At The Library

I tried to capture a whole scene at the library this week and even managed to colour it before heading out for a stroll and a cigarette. My return visit was cut short by a telephone call, so I wasn't able to colour my last few studies but thought it a productive coffee break none the less.

Typical! I tried people-sketching at my local library for the first time today, using pen only, and was pretty pleased with the results ... intending to post them up tomorrow ... Meanwhile you come up with the same idea but you've managed to depict half the library in one sketch, and in colour!! :)

Thanks Joan!

LOL...E-J, the library is one of my regular haunts for this year, a great place to capture people who don't seem to take any notice of you. I set out this day intent of creating a 'scene' rather than individual sketches.
Great to hear you've been down to the library too, can't wait to see what you did.
We have to schedule a sketch date...soon....text me your home number so I can reach you next time I'm nearby.

Love it! All those faces, "glued" to their screens.

I like the way you make human figure and face so simple. Amazing work:)

Hi Anita,

Your characters have a good dynamic, showing that you possess a good draughtmanship and know what you want to achieve.

Kind regards,

José

A real sign of the times when all you see in a library is computers - not a book in sight!
Your sketching is so inspiring, Anita - makes me wish I could go out sketching in public places!

A well-used coffee break! The color sketch really stands out. It's amazing what depth the color adds. Beautiful sketches here!
