Another excellent programme by the BBC on Italian art had me stuck to the sofa Wednesday evening.
Before you tell me how brilliant I am for making such a fantastic sketch, I should inform you that it is indeed a print out from my computer which I then stuck in to my sketchbook.
However, should you wish to praise me unashamedly for my skilled use of Nut Brown ink....who am I to get in your way! LOL!

Your skilled use of nut brown ink is extremely praiseworthy! I think such things as this sketch belong where you put them--they are now in the 'home' of your blog so others can enjoy them.

I too love the beautiful way you painted with the ink. I love brown ink. I made my own walnut brown ink, I don't use it often crazy eh:):)

At playschool (older post about dragons on my blog) they used coffee filter paper & dribbled/ sloshed brown inks onto them; I drew a heart on one that was left over :)

Lucky you, Anita. I just have to hope someone puts this Vasari program on utube in the near future. He had a house not far from us in Arezzo - painted all the ceilings himself and designed a beautiful little garden where the vegetable patches are still in use today.
