Close To Home - THE BOOK

Happy November everyone!

I am thrilled to announce that my Summer project 'Close to Home' is now all tied up in a book and available to preview and purchase from the Blurb bookstore by clicking the badge to the right, just underneath my profile.

The book contains 27 plein air sketches of homes from 3 villages in Cambridgeshire, England, UK...17 of which I have blogged about here.
It's wonderful to have all 27 sketches together to flick through, I'm pleased I'll get to keep them recorded this way.

I am so excited to be finishing this project to my plans made back in April, it feels good to see this through.
Benwick village hall are having a Dickensian Day on 15th November and I have a pitch there for my project sketches and books, so I'll be sending personal invitations out to the 27 different addresses I painted as well as promoting my presence there publicly.
Many will be dressing up in Dickensian clothing so it should also be a great opportunity for some sketching too!

I wish to thank all my regulars for your constant visits, praise and encouragement, your interest urges me to be productive EVERY day, as I have stated in my book....Hmmmm....'My book'...Sounds good....I could get used to that!

Anita - this sounds like a wonderful project and you have every right to be extremely proud of it. I shall have to nip along and have a look - are you autographing copies? :-)

Congratulations Anita. I am so proud of you. I am more of a regular lurker than participating in your comment section but I have been rooting for your all the way. You have been an inspiration to me in more ways than just your book. I hope it sells well. The launch at the feastival sounds perfect.

By the way, the stencils for lettering in your journal were an inspired idea. I may have to nick that one. ;-)

What a fabulous project! And so wonderful that you brought it to fruition in finished form. I just recently found blurb myself and it looks to be a great finished piece. Your paintings are incredible. Best of luck to you.
