March Town In Gold 'n' Brown

I drop my youngest off to school at 9am and head towards March to do my banking roughly once a month, the bank doesn’t open until 10am so I’m left with time to kill while I wait.

Now at first glance the car park doesn’t seem to offer much more than vehicles and a few recycling bins but on closer inspection one can always find treasure among the rubble. Old roof tops overlap one another creating interesting shadows and even the wheelie bins seem to glow in the morning sunshine.

I made my sketch from the comfort of my truck with a 0.1 pigment liner and decided to use a little artistic license with my palette, choosing gold's and browns to depict the onset of Autumn.

Isn't creative license great?!! On my House Boats and Marina, which you just commented on, I added totally different colors to the little houses. In real life they are all gray and drab brown.

Oooh, I had no idea Jim.
They were the part of the sketch that stood out to me and drew me in, I think your artistic license made that sketch! :)
Thank you for your comment.

Great work in March. Were you there long enough to brave popping into Paninis for me - or was that one of my emails that you couldnt read properly. ?? I have one piece of work still there and they are rehanging and want it removed.

You are so talented, Anita...to create such beauty from what appears to be the ordinary. Great job!
