Summer Soles
Aren't they adorable?
These are my faithful Summer buddies.
For years now I've spent the Summer wearing this type of shoe. I have had every colour you can imagine and a few multi-coloured pairs too. I think they were designed as slippers but I care not, they look so pretty with their beads and sequins and are so comfortable I wear them everywhere!

Wow, the beads and sequins just shimmer off the page. Can these really be WATERCOLOR?
Thanks Carol. I used Daniel Smith watercolours for this sketch...They are beautiful paints!
Lovely shoes. Yes, they do look beautiful as well as comfortable.
Anita, I love this painting...You really get the effect of the sequins on the toe without actually having to put in all the detail and glitz. I love your style of sketching, pen and ink, and versatility. Your blog is a favorite of mine.
Anita,
What a treasure this evenig has been cruising your blogs. Your work is so well done and the art is delightful. I loved it! The postcards were awesome, too. Great idea!
Sparkling!!! love the sketch and the shoes they are both beautiful
You've captured the sequins beautifully, Anita. I too love shoes like this.
Beautiful colors on this shoe - and your drawing is awesome!
Amazing how you captured the sparkle of the sequins. These are the type of shoes that lift your mood the moment you slip into them!
I particularly like the thin dark lines. Ink? Anyway, they seem to hold the structure together in a subtle way. June
