I've enjoyed all your food post. This one very appropriate for today. I bought a sack of potatoes yesterday but when I took them out today they were gone bad and had maggots spawning...grosssss!!!!! But your sketch is lovely and I am not staying away from potatoes!

I have enjoyed these post tremendously - they are so colorful and tempting and beautifully laid out - I will miss them, but I know whatever you post will be fantastic.

I've heard the story about the green parts but also that you'd have to eat about 100 pounds in one sitting to cause damage so I think we are safe. I usually can peel that part away but once got a bag that were green all the way through. Took that bag back to the store!

No more food pics after this? It was interesting.

Gross indeed Marta but, I agree, potatoes are just too yummy to avoid!

Thanks Kazum.

Awww, thank you Sandy! :)

Freebird I read that the alkaloids need only be eaten in small amounts to give you a sick feeling and bad head aches it's just that people don't always associate these conditions with the potatoes they just ate.
No more food diary for now but the odd food sketch will come in handy, especially when I'm unsure what to sketch! ;)
