Coltishall - 17 & 18 June 2008

Harry and I strolled around the allotments after dinner and even managed to find a frog. I made some very quick sketches while standing around watching him dart here and there. We spoke with Angela who has a plot there and she told us to pop along and see her baby chickens, which we did...cute little fluff balls!

On Wednesday I woke early, made myself a cuppa and sketched one of the chairs inside the conservatory before packing the truck, saying our goodbyes and heading for home.

Thanks Joan, we had such a wonderful break!

I first heard about allotments in Britain when I watched The Good's drop out and venture on to self-sufficiency. I have always enjoyed British Comedies and the The Good Life was one of my earliest rememberances. Your drawing is great...as usual.

Not been on the computer some days - had a few at Lauras and got back to find something wrong with my internet connection system. Checked out all your entries since you left here. Great posts Anita and it was great to see all the different things we packed into such a short visit. Toad Hole cottage looked as beautiful as it did on your sketchbook page. Loved the egg - and my sunroom whicker chair sketch.

Great journal entry. Your work is so inspiring. It makes me want to get right up and go draw!
