I had never heard of Pudlo Pudlat, and had to look him up on the web. I learnt that he was a Canadian Inuit artist who lived from 1916 to 1992. Evidently he produced 4,500 prints, drawings and paintings over a period of 33 years.

From Gauguin to Billy Connolly to J-J Rousseau to P. Pudlat, and we're only 4 days in! Your May journey is going to be a fascinating one :); May 04, 2008 10:02 PM

Thanks E-J, glad you are enjoying this journey too. BTW, the name on each quote is linked to information on the Author, I thought it would be interesting for people to find out exactly who it was saying these great words.
I had never heard of Pudlat either, his works are not to my taste but his productivity is right up my street. He obviously loved what he did.
I'm currently having some space created for an indoor studio so I don't have to make a choice between art and family in the evenings, as my studio is outside. I can't wait, watch me be productive then! LOL!; May 04, 2008 10:17 PM

lyn said...: That quote is so true! I've experienced that, took up figure drawing after a long break (it was many years ago in college) It's nice to regain some skills. I recently drew the mountainside behind me every day for a month and the land forms make much more sence now!
