Just Ink

I've spent the weekend doodling in ink, all sorts of ink; red, green, blue, Noodler's in red/black and W&N in 'Nut Brown' shade.

I've used pigment liners, Lamy fountain pens and dip pens...and all from the comfort of my sofa!

I've just spent the morning doing my master study in pen and ink. These are terrific! I couldn't get as fine as I wanted with my drawing. Nice t see yours are all successes!

ps: I love the fine cross hatching in the ink bottle sketch. I think my dip pen's nib might not be fine enough....my hatching was too chaotic!

Anita, these latest three pieces are so well done! You've managed to concentrate on what draws the eye and "neglect" the rest. Gorgeous.

Anita, you have done it again! Lovely ink sketches, paintings in themselves! You have such a knack with the pen and ink and such a steady hand to create all those fine lines.

Very well crafted sketches. I just discovered the dip pen again in my latest entry and am looking forward to working more with them. Thanks for the inspiration!

I too love the bottle and box - such beautiful lines and the idea of a moments pause between looking and sketching sounds wonderful and comes over all calm cool and collected. A beautiful studied study. ! Is there nothing you cant achieve par excellence?
