Column Week 7

THE TEXT:
On Tuesday I took a trip into March looking for inspiration with my sketchbook in tow. Weather gloomy and still pretty cold led me to the warmth of March Library and what a marvellous location it turned out to be!
Situated alongside the river Nene, the library had all the essential amenities at hand; toilet, tables, chairs, people and a huge glass front with a view onto the high street …Perfect!
The coffee machine deserves a separate mention all of it’s own, a very modern contraption that offers a variety of beverages including green tea and, my personal favourite, nice strong latte and all at just 60 pence a cup.
I had a wonderful morning journaling my surroundings , undisturbed, comfortable and protected from the cutting Fenland wind.

Great column, Anita. Drawing in the library is fun. I do it quite often for the scavenger hunts. It's especially nice when the weather outside isn't cooperating. Our library has a cafe and an area where you can sit by a fireplace. Nice job. The class sounds like fun...if I was only a bit closer. lol
