Love and Roses

Pigment liner and schmincke watercolours

The first page in my Saunders Waterford Journal.

I drizzled a little watercolour into the bottom corner to see how the paper reacts to washes and the results have me itching to do more.

I am in love with this paper!

Love the crinkly edging - something new? Of course the flowers and composition are up to your usual amazing standard. Now you've done this on the 11th, what you going to do for Valentines Day???? It could not be more romantic to this flower lover.

That is one scrummy wash you have there in the corner! I can see how it looks so inviting to do more! I think you're amazing how you draw just about anywhere. I'm still very self concious about drawing in public, even though I'll happily draw in a huge life room full of other artists... (weird).
