©Anita DaviesThis is my second column entry in the Cambs Times & Wisbech Standard newspapers, in print today. The layout differed slightly and the Editor added a note informing readers of my impressive blog traffic on the evening of
my premiere but basically it looked much like this!

Anita, this is impressive.
Nice work!

Anita,
I love the soft sepia/full color contrast of this layout. Wonderful composition! Brings the viewer right into your artistic world! WooHoo! You're on your way!
I think before long you are going to have a following with more fans than you can imagine! Yeah! I'm one of your early fans!!!!! I love this post! The readers will too!
Oh, Anita, it's wonderful! I agree - it's a terrific layout. You have such a nice eye for design. As Marta said, you'll have a large fan following soon! :) I'm so happy for you!
Beautiful layout! You are so talented, Anita.....LOVE your work!
I can imagine your print readers cutting these out and keeping them, Anita. And who could blame them.
I too love the combination of mono and colour. The watercolour of your jug of brushes is lovely.
Today Wisbech, tomorrow the world? Or at least Peterborough. Only kidding. These are great, and I'm sure there is greater recognition to come...it would certainly be well deserved.
Wonderful artwork! Is there anyway for us to read your column?

Is your column to be your excellent artwork, saving your witty wordiness for your blog, or will art instruction/commentary sometimes be a focus in the newspaper as well?
If I have worded this query poorly let me assure you that this is in no way a criticism as I follow every 'Anita project' with great interest and enjoyment and I thank you for all that you share.
This is awesome Anita. I really appreciate the way you went full-color in one area and used spot color in the rest. Very, very nice!
And congratulations on the traffic you received as a result. Cool.
Very impressive! This should really be an eye catcher, it is just lovely!
I've tried so hard not to open your blog to see your second column on screen, as I wanted to wait to receive the real thing in the post from you. ... but I've got to 11.30 on Sunday morning and can't contain myself. So Ive peaked and love it. The combination of colour and tone and the simplicity of text this time round introducing everyone to your wonderful art space Tom built you. I can already see the progression of your chosen column content - it will be like a storybook opening up for readers week by week. A born columnist as well as artist. I could see the fantastic numbers jumping up on your counter. Let us know when the myriad commissions start pouring in!!!
Thankyou all so much!
Seesue, no offence taken, I enjoy the feedback...It helps! :)
Yes, I will often be adding descriptive text, humour and artistic insight to my column along wih my artwork.
I want each week to be a surprise with no fixed format allowing me the same freedom that my blog does and hopefully producing something appealing to everyone over time.
Anita, I love the black and white contrasting with pieces of color. This is a lovely second columm, giving everyone a peek into your artistic world.
