Additional Colour

Today's journal entries consist of another self portrait in HB pencil, with a hint of Derwent drawing pencil #6470 added for colour, and a few additions to my new Schmincke palette.
I've added some empty pans into the centre slot that held a travel paintbrush and filled a few of them with some W&N colours. I am looking forward to trying the new selection out.

Staying with the theme of additional colour, please take a moment to check the textured acrylic works of my dear friend Joan Sandford-Cook, who has just entered into the wonderful world of blogging.

I have been so busy this past week but have been enjoying all the self portraits of the past couple of weeks. What great practice! It's been a few years since I've done a self portrait...might be time for one! Thanks for posting your palette also, always fun to see the colors others use.

Ha! I knew it wouldn't be long before you would cram more colors into your little paint box! *lol*

Hi dear Nitsa - I too some years ago added pans to the centre of a small travel watercolour box. Great to have additional favourites when sketching in colour.

Thanks for the STARPOST plug and mentioning this new blogger in your main text. So far only you have visited, but I have yet to add the blog address to my business card.. love Joannie
