Little Pink Boots

Earlier this week while shopping I came across these cute, fur lined, little pink suede boots and couldn't resist buying them for our little Ellie. Having had two boys myself, it's always such fun to purchase girly things.
Dithering on the sofa tonight, trying to think of what to sketch for my journal page, my eyes caught sight of them and that was that...no more dithering!

The background was taken from the pattern on my brand new, ultra soft, candy striped, dressing gown I purchased today with money that was gifted to me for Christmas.
Obviously, I am wearing it and it is so cosy, it even has matching socks!

The boots are adorable, and your dressing gown has wonderful colors. Seems you've had a pleasant, comfortable evening.

Beautifully drawn booties...how I wish my two were still that little. I enjoyed dressing them up! Your eye is so set on your environement, you'll never be stuck anywhere in life, will always find something to draw and some kind of medium to do it with, be it even a stick - a great characteristic.

A lovely drawing! I like the look of your new dressing gown too. You've captured the texture of those little boots beautifully.

I was just about to leave my comments, and it was then that I realized what you meant by starpost of the week. I thought the quote had just resonated with you, I did not know there was a blogger add on called Star Post.

Great painting of the booties. I just bought my 16 year old some boots. Not nearly as "cute", but.... they do grow up. I agree it is fun to dress up the little girls after a boy or two.

Thanks for stopping by Anita.

You really captured the fleecy look of the boot lining. I love the detail of the stitching. Very nice.
