Chocolate Letters

I spent a lot of Sunday as a Chocolatier with the new 'Fun Pass' I treated myself to this month over at Zylom games. It is definitely my kind of game, starting with nothing you build an empire to finally become a millionairess selling the most delicious goods across the seas...Now, if only there was a small cash machine at the side of my PC that actually paid out my virtual earnings...wouldn't that be fantastic?

The second page in my journal below highlights my love of sending and receiving proper letters, not emails or texts but handwritten gems, full of personalised care and attention, scripted over fine quality paper with ink. I find writing letters almost therapeutic, stopping to take time from a busy day to reflect and share with someone close is most rewarding. My dear friend Joan moved to Coltishall in Norfolk recently, so now I have the perfect excuse to produce regular handwritten correspondence and hopefully fill a shoe box or two with my replies, carefully tied together with silk ribbon to be read over and over through coming years.

Oh, i also love writing old fashioned letters...and receiving them, which happens very rarely now with email! What a great sketch of letter writing! I would be no use in this game; I would devour all my delicious good myself, especially if there is chocolate somewhere..

Ah, chocolate! This is a lovely entry, beautiful to look at. I also like writing proper letters, though more often I dash off emails. Email have the attractions of being both fast and inexpensive, but they are rarely saved and bound up with ribbons. :)

Beautiful chocolates, mmm. Yes letters are much better than emails, but I have to admit I don't write (or receive) many any more...

Lovely illustration! I used to love getting letters - they are so rare now, it would be like receiving a little bit of art! - but I really like the immediacy of e-mail too.
