EDM Challenge 47

EDM challenge 47 was to sketch a previous challenge again so I chose to repeat challenge #1 which was to sketch a shoe.

While sketch crawling in Ely on Saturday I purchased a pair of 'crocs'...I'm not quite sure if that's how you're supposed to spell it but it is how I chose to spell it.

Below is the sketch I produced for challenge #1.

Quite a variety of footwear you have! I bought a pair of Crocs in Hawaii a few years ago...they're wonderful beach shoes! I was thinking of drawing them for the current scavenger hunt...wouldn't be surprised to see this there too...but not sure I will now I've seen how well you've done it!

Love the Crocs picture - you did a very realistic drawing! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine - I am on my second pair as they do wear out with lots and lots of wear.

FABULOUS Crocs drawing, Anita! I have been so tempted to buy myself a pair because I've heard they are very comfortable but the fear of endless taunts from my kids stops me...they think Crocs are ugly! You truly are amazing with all that you manage.....please tell me you don't get much time to paint with acrylics anymore since you started doing all these gorgeous sketches. If you say that you still paint with your acrylics regularly, I will SCREAM!!! lol

Btw, I just wanted to thank you for leaving a comment on my blog and also for the advice to help my anaemia. I had to Google 'Mackensons' as I had no idea what it was. lol I'm not a fan of stout by any means but if it's going to help me build up my iron levels, I'm willing to give it a go. Not sure if they have Mackensons here though so I may have to opt for another make. Thanks again ~

Hawaii Dave...Now I bet that was just beautiful?
I have every faith in your ability to create a wonderful crocs sketch, even if you don't...Go for it!

Thankyou Nanacy. I couldn't believe how light and comfy they are!

Thanx Serena. I thought they were quite ugly too, infact the reason I picked one up was to ridicule todays fashion. However, I was so shocked at how light they were I just had to try one on.
They don't show at all under my jeans and will provide me with a comfy pair of summer sketching shoes. My old faithful 'Wranglers' boots get a little hot.
My kids laughed at them too! ;) LOL!

So pleased you've decided to give stout a try Serena, you won't be disappointed and...yes...the lemonade does make it a little easier to gulp down.
Let me know how things go!

Anita, just had to update you on the stout......it works!!! I had a glass one night and noticed an improvement the very next day so now I've had a glass of the stuff for three nights running and feeling so much better. Nausea has subsided. I think I'm becoming accustomed to the taste also. You were so right!! Thank you!!!

Anita Davies said...

Oh Serena, I am so pleased it has helped. It really is a miracle isn't it?...and FAR better for you than those horrid iron tablets.
Thanks for letting me know how it went, great to hear you are feeling better!
