Mr. Pots - Journal entry for 26 March '07
Sepia Sakura micron pen & watercolour pencils
Last year my Mum purchased a little garden ornament of a man made up of tiny terracotta pots wearing a straw hat and I fell in love with him. When she returned to the shop to buy one for me they had sold out.
Yesterday she found one!
She handed it to me when we met up in Panini's cafe, March Town where I was finalising the sale of one of the paintings I have exhibited there; "First Love".
I am thrilled with him and have sat him upon the little bench my eldest Son, Jake, made for me just outside my studio door...My very own studio bodyguard!

Ahhh...he's so cute! You use those sakura pens a lot; you must like them. Not that I'm going to buy any, you understand. Not today, anyway...
Now, now Dave....You know you want some, today is a great day to buy Sakura pens!
LOL!
Mr Pots is extremely cute and what a great little drawing. As for the roses - I can't begin to know how you manage to make them so real.
Thankyou Robyn!
There is a detailed WIP thread on another red rose painting I created in the Wet Canvas acrylic Hall of Fame if you'd like to see the steps I take.
Anita, I've seen and enjoyed your work on Wet Canvas, but only just today found your blog. I will be coming back to see what I missed and check out your new entries. Mr. Pots is very cute, but those roses are FABULOUS!!!

Have to admit, Mr Pots provoked me to an "Aww" as he is cute.
Well done on the sale! I love the composition/crop of your roses.
Stacy how great to see you here, it's been ages since we caught up.
Thankyou for your kind comments on my blog!
Thankyou E-J!
