Tears & Cartwheels

In the garden she waits for me , her freshly sawn scent seducing the air…calling me, beckoning me within.
Patiently I wait... until we can become one.

I am, of course, talking of my new studio.
For the past three years I have worked at the end of my kitchen table in my dinning room, my computer hidden in a cupboard and my art materials piled on my window seat. In May this year, work began to create my very own haven and things have moved along at a wonderful pace.

Built from timber, the studio is approximately 24x10 feet and also houses an office area and bathroom.
Today the plumbing pipe was installed through the floor ready for the oil heating that will be fitted next year, insulation was put in place around it and then topped with hardboard ready to receive the laminate flooring.

You have joined me on the finishing lap, all that she requires now is a good final coat of paint inside, floor finish, bathroom suite and a stain on the skirting to seal.

I feel like a child on Christmas morning….I can see it, I know it is real but I can barely believe it. I find myself torn between tears and cartwheels!

"There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other."

Lucky you!

I would love to have a dedicated space to work! Dream on!

I like your Blog. I feel the same way about the area I live in. Despite all the problembs in this country, I still wouldn't live anywhere else!

Thankyou so much for taking time to browse my entries and leave your comment. I started to move my materials into the studio yesterday, such an exciting day, I will post more about that later.
Totally agree about not wanting to live anywhere else.
