I've learned so much during this first oil portrait and I'm having so much fun...it's frustrating at times but it's challenges have me intrigued and driven.

 

I'm quite pleased with the outcome right now.

I'm glad I jumped in without an underpainting, that I was brave enough to paint as a whole using quite large brushes at times, that I challenged an orange/warm background, that I kept it loose....mostly, I'm pleased that I learned so much from it!
