St Ives, Cambridgeshire UK

Getting re-acquainted with the Daler Rowney Ebony paper after using the S&B sketchbooks and trying (and failing mostly) to get the angles on the buildings over the bridge right before attempting the bridge in my next spread.

One of these days I am going to bump into you - I live 4 miles away from St Ives, but never seen you sketching. I've sketched the mediaeval bridge (from the Dolphin and also the quay)- the arches are quite a challenge. However I find it difficult to just stand in the middle of a pavement and sketch - rather self-conscious about it. I suppose it gets easier the more you do.... Anyway, I love following your blog and seeing what you find to draw.
