I visited Daniel Spencers' beautiful new salon in Ramsey on Saturday and while waiting for my hair to be pampered, I sketched a corner of the luxurious waiting room!

Anita, You turn any corner into a gem!!! Love the recent "Every Day in May" sketches!!
That is lovely - makes waiting a breeze!
Saw a couple from Cornwall today - they were visiting (distant?) relatives in Oregon, & we were all shopping in a fabric store - the gals were in heaven! Their first visit to the states :)
My daughter works in a salon here in the states. I never thought of the idea to do art of her surroundings. Thank you Anita for doing this sketch, it gives me ideas of showing the workings of a busy Salon. I'm sure my daughter would love it as a series.
Thank you!
Scott, funny you should say that...The owner of the salon saw my sketch and asked if it would be possible to sketch a series of works on The Salon and publish it into a coffee table book for customers to browse while waiting. Needless to say, I shall be visiting there frequently over the next few months...as the book will make for some great advertising for my works too!
Perhaps it's an idea for you also?
