Magazine Inspired Sketching

Ink and watercolour in daily sketchbook

Sketched from magazine references.

I try to get at least one sketch in before going to bed at night, usually while laying on the sofa chilling. I sketch directly in ink and have for some time, allowing mistakes to shine through so I can work on them.

That's very striking,, Anita. I agree about sketching in pen - it makes me work so much looser. x

I thought at first this might be drawings of your boys. I love your ink drawings, your mistakes aren't visible from where I sit.. it's all good.

Great sketches as always!

The house sketch below is really nice, but this one is super!!! I've been trying to sketch directly in ink more often, so that when I grow up I can sketch like you. Your sketches always amaze me.

Love the layout and the limited use of color.

Wonderful work, Anita! I've starting to sketch straight off with pen only recently...scary but enjoyable all at the same time if that makes sense. lol
