Waiting For Diane

I arranged to meet a friend in Tesco Cafe in March last week and arrived a little early. Just beside the car park sits this view, so I found an opening in the hedge and sat on the dry ground soaking up the rare sunshine while I sketched.

I used a Lamy Safari fountain pen with a medium sized nib filled with Noodlers Walnut ink.
I added a little watercolour later back at home.

I sure like how you handled all that's going on in such a place---that color ink is so pleasing to see--I must try it---you've inspired me to do it at least once. I just love the look of this extra special one Winna

Very nice, thanks for sharing your process, it helps me better understand how it was created.

Very delicate and pretty. It reminds me a bit of the colored older Winnie the Pooh illustrations.
(Not Disney)

This is gorgeous! The brown ink with the earth colors are perfect. I love the reflection of the sky - just right in the composition.

The pen lines give this a nice richness with the added watercolor. I need to be able to more work like this...just grab the moment and create!
