Rare Serving



This beauty served us in many ways; it provided good shooting, a delicious lunch for the boys and the rare opportunity for me to sketch it up close in my journal.

I'd love to preserve the skull but have no idea how, other than leave it outside for a few months, any tips?

Living on a farm with places to walk in the woods etc---skulls would just be found, but not frequently---let know how it works--I don't think I could handle it.

Wonderful sketch Anita - but you surely have to be a country lady to cope with drawing part of a dead animal, but then I remember I did that with a rabbit that was hanging from a nail in the porch when we stayed at the farmhouse in France and everyone was horrified!!!
Loved the Untouchables spread - the 'gangster' Harry ones are so good. Where was his gun???

Way cool Anita! Reminds me of a rabbit we had for a bit and then a french neighbor of mine butchered it and cooked it for us. LOL. my 'grown' kids still don't let me forget about how they ate their pet rabbit! I should have sketched the little critter!

lovely drawing...I don't know if this will work for you, but you could bury it (mark the spot) and dig it up again in late summer...the ants and other underground crawlies should clean the bone for you......deni.....;)
