March Library

On Saturday, my youngest, Harry and I spent the day together and ventured out into Town. One of the places we visited with our sketchbooks was March Library, where we had a hot chocolate and a latte while we made some very quick sketches of people using the many computers available there.

I could never do this--too shy---I suppose you get better and better and bolder and bolder?

All of my daily sketches are from life Winna, It doesn't really bother me at all but...yes, I think you do get braver and bolder with time. I get my watercolours out in supermarket cafes, libraries and even bars and restaurants now where I would once have just used a pen and coloured later at home. :)
The 1st step is the hardest...Go on...I dare you! LOL!

These are fantastic. And, they make great memories too. You can look at these years from now and remember the wonderful time you and Harry had when you went to the library together.

Do people still borrow books in libraries?
Nice to spend time with your son like this.

Hello Anita..
I followed you here from Margaret's at Water Blossoms. I saw your comment about your letter. She posted about it the other day, marked "Postmarked UK."

I love your sketches!!

I love the girl in purple. So cute! When I was living in North York, Toronto, I used to take my little kids to the library everyday. It has 7 storeys full of books, mags, films, music, etc .. and even a piano room, fish tanks and toys. We borrowed everything and had the most amazing time there. I wish I was trying my hand at sketching then!
