Worldwide Sketchcrawl 21

Saturday was the 21st Worldwide sketchcrawl and with weather here at minus 3 the whole day, I finally decided to take refuge in The Olde Griffin Hotel for a couple of hours.
The Griffin has recently been refurbished and I had never really been inside until Saturday...What a fabulous place! It is huge and has many levels and areas. A variety of chairs, stools, leather sofas and flat screen TV's make it very user friendly for all age groups...the ideal place for an artist to get 'lost' in and sketch. It sits on the corner of the market square and has many windows with views along the High Street too.
The Griffin also serves a great latte, which is always a bonus!
I enjoyed the venue so much that I'm hoping to make it a place I visit often.

What a great idea to find some interesting indoor spots to call your own when the weather isn't cooperating...I may have to borrow this idea for when we hit 110 degrees plus! :)

Love this spread...full of treats of every kind! Even the ladies room, eh? ROTFLOL!

Doesn't matter where on the planet we found ourselves....I think we all had a great sketchcrawl!

I love the interior view especially, Anita - really nicely done.

Did you get any funny looks for sketching in the loos? :D

I know that the cold weather wouldn't stop you from sketching. I'm glad you found a warm place with coffee too. Your sketch of the toilet is so great!

I haven't looked at your pages for a while... I believe I see lots more confidence, style... PANACHE. I hope this doesn't sound condescending... I don't mean it that way... I really like what you're doing. Wish I knew of friendly pubs here; but will definitely consider local hospitals as modeling sessions! (More varied clientele than Starbucks.
