Three Artists And Two Daffodils

The last two pages in my 2008-2009 A6 Venezia journal remember three wonderful artists, Tony Hart, Bernini and Borromini.
The daffodils come from a bunch gifted to me, a bunch of sunshine that brightened my week!

Love the daffodils.
I have many fond memories of watching Tony Hart too.

The page of St Peter's is beautiful with the warm stonework. Great to have the historical annotation as well. So many architects of great (often religious) works have fought.

I love the layout of this page. Looks like you enjoyed doing these two.

Great sketches (as usual! Blah blah, I sound monotonous) ... Paul was given a "make-your-own-Morph" kit for Christmas and still hasn't opened it ... I think he fears M might get her paws into it and refashion poor Morph into a shape he's never considered before.

Btw - Texting you my landline right now.

I loved Tony Hart too. And, you do great lettering among your drawings.

I think I used to put Tony Hart's programmes on for me rather than the children - but we all loved everything he did. So innovative and full of life. You must have a backlog of work to show us, as today's post you did last Tues when you were recovering. Hope everyone fit and well now. As E-J, I seem to repeat myself all the time because your work is always soooooo goooood. No different even when you are poorly and you bring us such interesting topics.

I was so sad to hear of the death of Tony Hart. Yet another of my childhood heroes gone! I can still hear that lovely tinkly music that played as we watched the gallery of artwork sent into his television programme.
Lovely work, Anita.

I loved Tony Hart - my post to remember him on my blog I posted a link to the BBC website where they had a wonderful snippet from one of his programmes. Also found Morph on You Tube - How can anyone not love Morph!
The second sketch here is wonderful - Its like a veil being lifted off to reveal the dome. Delicious!

How can you sketch as regular as you do? I'm really struggling at the mo! some lovely pieces here, I like the tribute to Tony Hart, he inspired me to draw and create things over the years.

Interesting read and wonderful art, as always, Anita. Unfortunately, I didn't know who Tony Hart was but I did 'google' him....he obviously inspired many children and adults through his art.

I've thoroughly enjoyed catching up with your blog today. Sorry to hear that you and Harry were sick though. It sounds like Jake had a great trip to Bulgaria despite the food. lol I enjoyed your self-portraits too ~ :)

I'm glad you got Tony Hart in there! I used to watch Vision On when I was little. I loved Morph, too. Tony Hart got me drawing.
