Glad to see you are achieving what you planned - more detailed figure/portrait sketches. Liked Harry's version of you lazing about whilst you sketch him!!!
How did you create the textured watercolour bits? They really "weight" the comp just right.
I had no idea you'd tried to reach me for the SketchCrawl ... am gutted! I didn't hear my phone ring or see a missed message. I'm sorry! Do you have my landline? I'll send it to you along with my address and you will always have the option of knocking on my door next time! Unlike Peacocks, my kettle is on all year round. Unlike my phone!! ;)
Owen thak you, we are a team and I love that we have this artistic bond.
Thanks Joannie...Harry did so well didn't he!
E-J, it was today I tried to contact you, had to collect work from The Palace and decided to make a morning of it...Next time! ;) Yes, send me your address and land no. Incidently, have you seen the painting hanging in the Cathedral by Alexander Creswell...Deffo worth a look, it's stunning!
I'm catching up on some of my blog reading. I just caught this link from your son's post. He's doing really well drawing people and from life no less! Of course, your picture is great too, lol. I really like the bit of brick-like color added to the sketch. It's a nice design besides a good picture of your son.

Your sketch of Harry is very good!!
Very nice drawing.
Lovely and the colour adds just the right accent. You two are a team.

Love it. Especially the watercolor accents

Anita, I know the note about the Cathedral was for Winna but I had to look it up myself. Beautiful.
Isn't it gorgeous Owen! I stood admiring for quite some time :)
this is so wonderful
Thanks Genine!
Love the added color in this! You are so lucky to have Harry as a model...priceless!!
This is so much fun :) You and Harry both did great! Sounds like it was a laugh ;)
The dynamic drawing duo at work...fantastic...love the texture here! :)

Oh god. The other blog is your son's? Wow, I never thought of that! Young kid already sketching will probably be a pro today ;)
But I got very fascinated with this portrait. I really got to practice more faces! I'm so bad at it :(
Anyway. This was worth watching. Subscribed! ;)
Thank you so much. Glad to have you along for the ride!
